Foreclosures are falling in Huntington Beach

Foreclosure filings in Huntington Beach are down for both Notices of Default (NOD) and Notice of Trustee’s Sales (TS).

The NOD is the first step in the foreclosure process, and these filings are down 15.49% compared to last month, and down 10.45% compared to last year.

The TS is the second step in the process, and these filings are down 25.40% compared to last month, and down 43.37% compared to last year.

The number of homes completing the foreclosure process and becoming “Bank Owned Homes” is down 50% compared to last month and down 71.43% compared to last year.  Interestingly, the number of properties being bought by 3rd parties at the foreclosure auction is up 128.57% compared to last year.
